PROJECT CASE · UNITED KINGDOM · 100 SETS

Two metals. One complete set.
Planned with care.

A pure silver coin and a pure copper coin, presented together in a silver-foil branded flocked box and sleeve. Early raw-material planning and 15 design adjustments helped bring a detail-focused customer’s project into production.

RAW-MATERIAL PLANNING DURING A LONG DESIGN CYCLE

Agree the material price.
Keep the design moving.

01 · THE CHALLENGE

A long design process. A changing silver price.

Silver prices can move considerably while a custom design is being developed. The customer’s detailed requirements meant the design process would take time, creating uncertainty around the eventual raw-material cost.

02 · THE ARRANGEMENT

Contract and payment in advance.

We signed the agreement with the customer and received payment in advance to lock the agreed raw-material price for this order. That arrangement allowed design development to continue against an agreed material-price basis.

03 · THE OUTCOME

Protection against the later price increase.

Silver prices rose sharply afterwards. Securing the material price earlier saved the customer money compared with purchasing the same agreed material at the later higher price. The case does not state a saving amount or percentage.

This was a project-specific contractual arrangement. For a new order, the material quantity, price basis, payment requirements and scope of any price lock must be expressly agreed. Other production and packaging costs are confirmed separately.

FREE DESIGN REVISIONS · CLEARER COLLABORATION

15 adjustments.
One carefully developed design.

The customer did not have the skills to complete the design independently, but had high expectations for the details. We supported the artwork development through 15 rounds of design adjustment, refining the project with the customer before production.

UK COIN SET PROJECT · FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Planning the set.
Understanding the decisions.

Have the coin designs and photographs in this case been modified?

Yes. The images are digitally edited and AI-adapted for customer design and intellectual property protection. A flock of doves replaces the original single bird, and a nest replaces the original feather motif. Identifying inscriptions and packaging branding have been substituted. These are adapted stage illustrations, not original mould files or exact photographs of the delivered design.

What did each of the 100 custom coin sets include?

Each set for this UK customer included one pure silver commemorative coin, one pure copper commemorative coin, a double-coin flocked presentation box and an outer sleeve. Both the flocked box and the sleeve carried a custom silver-foil stamped logo. The order therefore comprised 100 sets and 200 coins.

How was the silver raw-material price secured during the design period?

The customer’s design process was lengthy, so we signed the agreement and received payment in advance to lock the agreed raw-material price for this project. Silver prices rose sharply later, and the arrangement saved the customer money compared with purchasing the same agreed material at the later higher price. No specific saving amount is stated for this case.

Does every silver coin quotation automatically include a price lock?

No automatic price lock is established by this case. A new project requires an explicit agreement and payment arrangement specifying the material quantity, price basis and scope. A raw-material price lock should not be confused with a guarantee that every design change, packaging change or other order cost is fixed.

Are custom coin design revisions free?

We provide free production-design revisions. This project involved 15 design adjustments because the customer needed design support and had detailed requirements. The number describes this case rather than a recommended revision target. We encourage customers to plan the design direction first and consolidate feedback so artwork approval and production can move forward efficiently.

What should a customer prepare before starting the coin design?

Confirm the purpose, front and reverse wording, logos, visual references, preferred relief, dimensions, materials and packaging direction as early as possible. Nominate one person to consolidate comments and check spelling, dates and layout before approving the production artwork. You can still start with an idea if you do not have finished design files.

Can both a double-coin box and its outer sleeve carry a silver-foil logo?

Yes. Both the flocked presentation box and outer sleeve in this case were customized with a silver-foil stamped logo. For a new set, the logo size, placement, surface compatibility, artwork and box fit should be reviewed together and confirmed in the packaging specification.
